Logo Design

TitanCo

The first step towards my personal branding.  TitanCo is a fictional brand that I created in Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto Online.

What is Grand Theft Auto Online

Grand Theft Auto Online (GTAO) is an online, open-world role player game. While it is notoriously associated with criminal violence, the game had some cool features, like the ability to own various businesses under your name.

Inspiration

The businesses in GTAO revolved around the delivery of cargo, crates, vehicles, and maybe some not-so-legal things. I wanted my logo to incorporate the idea of moving, drawing inspiration from the arrows from Amazon and FedEx.

Logo Design

The logo I designed features three components that make up the letter T. The right part of the T was composed of a square that simulated a box. The left part of the T depicted an arrowhead. The swoosh in the middle connected the two components and when combined with the box, spelled out “Co.” So when starting from the top down with the logo, you now should see “T Co, we help deliver things for you.”

Word Mark

I incorporated the same principles from the word mark. I opted to use the ACIER BAT font, as its geometric and block style made it easy to style the T’s just like in the logo.

Olympus Fitness

A personal trainer looking at starting a new brand.  Olympus Fitness is a small home fitness center helping you reach your peak.

Design Brief

The client requested a simple logo, a dumbbell combined with the omega (Ω) symbol. As for color, she asked for just a simple black-and-white palette.

Logo Design

Taking inspiration from the Paramount Logo, I’ve added a mountain in the middle of the logo to incorporate Olympus mythology into the design better.

Word Mark

I wanted a typeface that provoked a fitness vibe. GOOD TIMES was the font I used for Olympus Fitness. The sleek, rounded look emulates strength and performance, two common themes found in personal training.

LJ's Food Truck

A Youngstown food truck open to a logo redesign.

Design Brief

The client gave me complete creative freedom for the first round of the design.

Inspiration

With the client selling burgers, wings, and tacos, I wanted to incorporate a classic dinner look into his logo, the bright red seats, and the black and white checkered walls.

1st Round Logo Design

The first logo I proposed was similar to the final design, utilizing a red and black diamond design instead of blue and purple. I originally incorporated a flipping hamburger into the design to act as an apostrophe between the J and the S.

2nd Round Design

The client had a few design changes moving forward. First, he wanted to keep his original blue and purple colors instead of the red, black, and white. While red is a standard color in food brands, I wasn’t opposed to the client trying to differentiate himself. I took some color inspiration from the Taco Bell Logo.

After the color change, the client requested to remove the hamburger and add a knife instead since he wanted to expand his business out of just burgers.

Ohio Games and Collectables

An ebay storefront looking to establish a video game and collectables brand.

Design Brief

The client’s original request was to have the Ohio Flag inside the silhouette of Ohio.  I presented this design  to better represent the client’s e-commerce brand.

Logo Design

I drew inspiration from Shopify’s  shopping bag logo.  The client primarily sells coins and videogames on Ebay.  With this in mind, I’ve decided to combine the Ohio silhouette with a coin to form a shopping bag.

Word Mark

For the typeface, I opted to use the BUNGEE font. The rounded edges and capital letters make for a fun and welcoming font. Plus, it was a funny coincidence that the font was named similar to one of my favorite video game development teams, Bungie.

The client suggested to change the O’s to a CD and a coin.  I’ve decided to incorporate the client’s request by utilizing the negative space of the letter.
